Somatic Pelvic Care & Healing

Somatic Pelvic Care is truly a heart-felt offering because its Field of Transformational Healing Power is so large, and the shifts I witness in women who enter this Journey profound.

Somatic Pelvic Care is a gentle, body-based practice created for women and vulva owners that supports reconnection, regulation, and balance within the pelvic bowl and nervous system. This nurturing work enhances flow, eases restriction, reduces pain, and invites release—while also holding your body with deep presence, and honoring the emotional, energetic, and spiritual layers of your pelvis, womb, body, and heart.

Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, this holistic approach listens to the body’s patterns, history, and protective responses—especially where discomfort, pain, tension, or numbness have become chronic—creating space for awareness, restoration, and a more embodied sense of safety and connection.

This practice is well suited for those who feel something deeper is asking for attention, particularly when conventional approaches have not fully addressed the root of the experience. It offers also support during major life transitions such as postpartum healing and also peri- and menopause,  and creates space for the body to soften, reorganize, and restore a sense of internal safety.

At its core, Somatic Pelvic Care invites you back into relationship with your body—supporting pelvic healing, healthy boundaries, embodied choice, and so have a deeper capacity for presence, pleasure, and innate self-trust.

As a woman who has lived through and healed from significant trauma, I know firsthand that unwinding these layers requires a soft, somatic, and deeply gentle approach—while at the same time calling for a modality that is focused and truly transformative. This work has honestly created the most profound shifts for me. Because during our in-depth training, we were required to move through the work ourselves — to feel it, know it, and experience it fully—so that we could first become a safe container for ourselves, and then for others.

With over 35 years of experience in healing and bodywork, I create a strong yet gentle space in our sessions—supporting transformation across multiple layers and reaching the deeper parts of yourself that are calling for care.

As many of us know, while the body may show symptoms that draw our attention, the root cause often lies much deeper. This work helps you unravel those layers in the most gentle and effective way.

How we work with Informed Consent and Embodied Consent:

Experience  how "Informed and Embodied Consent" sets the foundation for your healing. Through continuous communication and touch, you'll always know the next steps and have the power to decide.

For example, I might say, "I could place my hands on your tummy next. Would you like me to do this?" This step ensures you are fully informed and allows you to decide. Once you say "Yes" (or no), I'll ask, "Let me know when you're ready for this touch", this is the embodied part, and so fostering a deep body connection and giving you full informed and embodied control over the process. My clients find this process incredibly empowering, and your body really responds to this kind of Touch.

How it is different from regular pelvic floor physical therapy:

While pelvic floor physical therapy is often experienced as clinical and focused on strengthening or releasing muscles using manual techniques and exercises, Somatic Pelvic Care also adds the holistic and integrative aspects. Because our sessions are long - 2 hours - we have the change to also encounter and go deeper when 'stuff comes up'. We take our time, and really allow for you and your body to be in charge. We want to allow space for your body to feel safe, and so we almost never work externally or internally during our first session. And know, we don't have to work internally or externally at all to create long lasting shifts and changes. Because the body is so much more than 'just a body with muscles and issues'... and Somatic Pelvic Care honors all those parts, and uses the techniques, and tools for internal work as well. Just a lot slower, and very much at pace with the pace you dictate.
