HOLISTIC PELVIC HEALTH CLARITY CONSULTS
Both offerings will get you going far.
Holistic Pelvic Health Consults: are great for you if you're trying to figure out your next steps (often because the allopathic approach did not give you enough / any relief), or if you would really like to try a new fresh (and natural) approach to your issues. Pelvic Health Consults go deep, and the support I offer will not only have a thorough "Action Plan" for you to implement, but usually also includes nervous system care, lifestyle shifts, personal pelvic practices, emotional awareness, body connection, and a natural and holistic approach that support your healing as a whole person in a practical and doable way. Usually women like to start with this first, and then slowly move into Somatic Touch when they feel ready or their body asks for more.
Somatic Pelvic Care is for you if you also want to dive deeper by adding the whole embodied somatic approach. This work is slower, as the body always needs time to unwind and feel safe. We work deeply with embodied touch and consent, so you can re-learn what feels good for you and establish new boundaries, and it touches on the emotional, spiritual and psycho-somatic layers - allowing you to move deeply within.
Unresolved issues/trauma/emotions may come to the surface naturally, not forced, never looking for it, when your body wants to show them to us. And when/if you feel ready, we can include gentle internal and external pelvic and vulvar work. The pelvic massages are very beneficial for increasing blood flow and so reducing pain, and thus renewing innervation of all the pelvic nerves, we release fascia and fascia adhesions, and so deeply rejuvenating your whole pelvic floor. This can feel vulnerable, raw, and real. But also extremely empowering, meeting yourself in a whole new way, and also allowing for a deep relaxation of the pelvic floor and so your whole body. Women are often so surprised by how relaxed they feel after a pelvic bowl treatment!
All in all - this work tends to touch upon the layers that conventional care often does not reach.
So feel with your body, heart and mind where you want to start and what you wish for. There is no good or better way.
Just YOUR way and what YOU need right now.
Let's talk <3
Before we begin, we start with a thorough intake to understand your health history, current concerns, and what is bringing you to this work. This is also a space for connection, questions, and making sure you feel fully informed and at ease.
In our first session, we focus on creating safety, grounding, and helping you settle into your body. We work slowly, allowing your nervous system to soften and your body to feel supported. Together we move through a full pelvic bowl journey, connecting you deeply to your pelvis, womb, ovaries, and heart space.
We do not usually begin external pelvic work during the first session. Instead, we focus on building trust, awareness, and a felt sense of connection with your pelvis, womb, heart, and nervous system. That said, if your body offers a clear and embodied yes, we may gently begin with external vulvar work.
In later sessions, f your body feels ready and consent is clear, we move into gentle external and internal pelvic bodywork. This process is always consent led, slow, and guided entirely by your comfort and your boundaries.
You remain fully in charge throughout every session.
Because this work touches physical, emotional, and nervous system layers, sessions are spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart to allow time for integration, rest, and reflection.
Before we begin, we start with a short intake that I will email to you, so I can get an initial understanding of your current concerns, what you have done so far, and and what is bringing you to this consult.
Then we will either meet in person in Montclair, or we schedule a Zoom/WhatsApp/Facetime call to go deeper.
I will go over it all with you, we may discuss some deeper issues that seem to be running a theme and perhaps causing (emotional and physical) concern to you. And we naturally deep dive into what else is needed and going on.
I will come up with a practical plan/suggestions and recommendations for your Pelvic Health Plan. You will feel hopeful again. And I offer 60 min Follow Up consults if you need those, and if you at some point decide you want to try Somatic Pelvic Care, I am here for you.
(FYI: the Somatic Pelvic Care Intake fee will be waived - and I will send you a new thorough intake for this).
Absolutely. I use non-latex gloves and place a towel beneath you. Receiving Somatic Pelvic Care during your cycle is completely fine, unless you would prefer not to. Being on your cycle can actually deepen the experience, as your internal awareness and intuition tend to be heightened at this time.
Yes very! Many women experience lingering pain even after surgery, and Somatic Pelvic Care can be particularly supportive in these cases.
Also there will be scar tissue, and therefor fascia adhesions. So it would be very good to work internally (and externally) to create renewed sensations, heal any nerve damage by increasing circulation and blood flow.
It can, yes. This work sometimes awakens emotions, feelings, or sensations that have been held in the body.
When that happens, we breathe together and allow what arises to move through. I hold this space with deep care and am fully trauma informed.
Some areas may feel tender, and when that happens we stay, breathe, and allow the fascia to soften at its own pace. We never go looking for anything. We only allow what is ready to unfold.
Yes, this work is deeply beneficial for all kinds of scar tissue, whether from a cesarean, episiotomy, or any other belly/pelvic/back surgery.
Scar tissue can create tension in the fascia and generate pain signals in places that may not seem obviously connected to the scar. If you have unexplained or lingering pain after surgery, please come and see me.
I can also teach you scar tissue massage techniques to continue at home between sessions.
Many women notice the following after 2-3 Somatic Pelvic Care sessions:
More softness, space, and sensation in the pelvis
Reduced pain and greater nervous system regulation
Clearer boundaries and a stronger sense of Yes and No
More trust in the body and deeper self connection
Greater ease with intimacy, (self) pleasure, and emotional expression
Feeling more grounded, alive, and at home within themselves
And women whom have had a Pelvic Health Consult with "action plan" feel:
Hopeful again - and often lighter in their being/mood/emotions, because we have uncovered some old patterns, or she finally felt fully heard.
More room in their body and heart - knowing that "it was not just in their minds" and thus
Empowered, and eager to try something new
And ready to feel better again.
